May 08 MonotheismI have always stayed out of religious talk at work. I know religion is a topic that is more divisive than politics. After all these years I had to go and open my mouth.
I was asked if I am willing to go to hell for my beliefs. My answer was yes, not because I am certain that I am right, but I am certain that the institution of religion is not for me. Don't get me wrong I believe in something greater and wiser than all, but I am not religious. Religion, as far as I am concerned is man made, I think it selfish for any group of people to believe they have a monopoly on God and His favor. I believe my mind to small to comprehend it all, but not small enough to believe in hell. Why would I leave perfection (heaven), to maybe make it back. What's worse, if I don't make it back I never will. |
